A failed UPS power module is not a fault you can plan around. Until it is replaced the load is unprotected, and until it is replaced most people end up buying a whole new unit — which is how a repairable fault turns into an unnecessary capital expense.

The other problem is waiting. A capacitor or a control card is not a large part, but sourcing one through an agent can take a week or more. If the inverter stage has failed but the cabinet, transformer, rectifier and control electronics are sound, the module is the part to replace. That is a genuine repair rather than a compromise, and it typically costs a fraction of a new unit of the same capacity.

Send us the UPS make, model and kVA rating plus the fault description, or bring the failed module into the shop so we can confirm the part number. If the unit is beyond economical repair we will tell you that plainly instead of selling you a module that will not fix it.
