UPS Repair, Installation and Service in Faisalabad

Most UPS problems we are called out to in Faisalabad were caused at installation, not by the equipment. A UPS is an electronic device connected to a battery bank, and both halves have to be right: the battery bank must match the unit's DC bus voltage and have enough cells in series, and the DC cable gauge must be sized for both the charge current and the short-circuit current the bank can deliver.

A 5KVA UPS on a bank with two undersized interlinks will work perfectly in the shop and then fail at 2am when the cells are cold and the fault current is highest. Cable gauge is not a place to save money, and neither is earthing or the changeover arrangement.

The difference between a UPS that lasts eight years and one that is replaced at four is usually maintenance. Heat is the enemy: a unit running in a hot, poorly ventilated room ages several times faster than the same unit in an air-conditioned room, and Faisalabad summers are not gentle on an unventilated cabinet.

A maintenance visit covers a load test, capacitor and fan inspection, battery bank capacity testing, terminal and connection torque checks, cleaning of the air filters and vents, and a written report. For clinics, factories and offices that cannot afford an outage, an annual contract is straightforwardly cheaper than an emergency replacement.
